At African Muslim Forum Scotland, we recognise that losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences anyone can face. Our Funeral Services (Janazah Support) are here to provide compassionate assistance, spiritual comfort, and practical guidance during this challenging time.

We ensure that every Muslim is honoured and laid to rest with dignity, respect, and in full accordance with Islamic traditions. Our dedicated volunteers and coordinators offer step-by-step support to families, helping them navigate the process with ease and reassurance.

🕊️ Our Support Includes:

• Guidance on Islamic funeral rites and burial practices

• Assistance with paperwork and coordination with local authorities, mosques, and cemeteries

• Arranging Janazah (funeral) prayers and helping families connect with imams and volunteers

• Transport coordination for the deceased, where possible

• Bereavement support and community comfort for families and loved ones

• Referrals to trusted funeral service providers for washing (ghusl), shrouding (kafan), and burial arrangements

Our aim is to lighten the burden on grieving families by offering care, respect, and community support every step of the way.
